Raised by a hardworking single mother, Daryl Dotson learned the values of perseverance, respect, and determination early in life. Her example inspired his journey from aspiring auto shop owner to passionate educator and leader. His mother, who earned her degree after he did and still chooses to work, remains his greatest influence—shaping the core of his personal and professional values.
The Coach’s Approach to Leadership
A former wrestling coach with 25 years of experience, Dotson understands the power of mentorship. He believes in seeing the potential in every student, helping them discover their strengths, and supporting their growth. His leadership philosophy centers on being people-focused, listening actively, and creating a safe, supportive environment where students and staff can thrive. Through years of coaching, he’s learned that true leadership isn’t about commanding, but about empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Dotson’s approach involves giving students and staff a voice, actively seeking their input, and creating collaborative environments where everyone feels valued and heard.

Dotson believes in building relationships through consistent presence and genuine interaction.
